Jacquelyn Smith is a Canadian author from the outskirts of Toronto, Ontario, where apologies are a regular part of most social interactions, and the second ‘T’ in ‘Toronto’ is definitely silent. (Sorry.)
Jacquelyn writes both fantasy and female detective fiction, including the World of Lasniniar epic fantasy series (published under her own name), and the kick-ass Kira Brightwell mystery series (originally published under the pen name Kat Irwin). Her fantasy short stories “The Unclean” and “The God’s Eye” have won back-to-back awards from Writers’ Journal, and both stories have appeared in Writers’ Journal magazine.
When spending time in the real world, she lives with her husband Mark, and their feline owner, Xena.
